From November 17^th to 20^th, 2018, 2018 “Mammoth Cup” China vs Russia Women Basketball Match was held in Qinggang County, Heilongjiang Province. The Women’s Basketball Team of Jilin University won the championship under the leadership of Coach Ma Hui.

The basketball teams from China and Russia showed us the spirit that “Basketball is Beyond National Boundaries”. Four teams demonstrated fine traditions, diligence, and invincible spirits.

The competition adopted a double-round robin. In the first round, the women’s basketball team of our university successively defeated that of Dalian University of Technology, the Spartak Women’s Basketball Team and the Shanghai Youth Women’s Basketball Team. In the second round, our university basketball team won every game with high scores. After six fierce competitions, Jilin University Team finally claimed victory.

With concerted efforts and hard work, the players presented a basketball feast to everyone, which promoted China-Russian friendship and cultural exchanges. Ourbasketball team adhered to the concept of “Friendship comes beforecompetition”. Inspired by the team motto of “culture, sport, competition and glory”, our team won the championship in this competition with teamship and great courage, winning honor for Jilin University and our motherland!
